Dillon, 6 Years Old, would Love to Learn to Dance
Teacher Nomination: "As the third of four siblings in a busy household, this energetic student is working hard to master self-regulation and emotional control. Structured extracurricular activities would give him a positive outlet to channel his energy, build focus, and practice key self-control skills in a guided environment. However, with four children to support, tuition costs create a significant financial barrier for his dedicated mother. Receiving this mini-scholarship would provide him with the vital opportunity he needs to learn, grow, and develop lifelong coping and self-management skills." - J.S
Kenzie, 10 Years Old, Would Love to Learn to Dance
"This student is a remarkably kind and thoughtful young girl who often quietly puts others first. As a middle child whose family devotes significant time and resources to supporting a sibling with special needs, she rarely has opportunities centered entirely around her own growth and interests. Because she tends to be soft-spoken and hesitates to advocate for herself, participating in an extracurricular activity would give her a dedicated space to build self-confidence, find her voice, and shine. A mini-scholarship would offer her a long-overdue chance to explore her own potential while providing valuable support to a dedicated family balancing complex caregiving needs."-J.S
Angel 9 Years Old, Would Love to Learn to Draw
"This student immigrated to the United States from Venezuela with his family just a few years ago and has already shown remarkable resilience and growth. Raised by a dedicated single mother who works tirelessly to provide for him, access to extracurricular opportunities has simply not been financially possible without support from programs like this. Despite these challenges, he has learned English and now speaks it fluently, demonstrating determination and a strong desire to succeed. He is an active, energetic child who has recently developed a strong interest in art and drawing, and he would greatly benefit from opportunities that allow him to explore and grow these talents. He consistently shows up with a bright, genuine smile, evidence of the love and support within his small but devoted family. At the same time, he would benefit from structured environments that help build confidence, strengthen social skills, and develop self-regulation, as well as access to positive male role models who can further support his growth. This opportunity would not just provide an activity, it would open doors to mentorship, personal development, and meaningful experiences that many of his peers already have access to. He deserves the chance to explore his potential, build confidence, and thrive both inside and outside the classroom."- K.V
